Twin Rivers Festival Kicks off Friday

McNAB - The Ninth Annual McNab Twin Rivers Festival will begin Friday with arts/crafts, all sorts of food booths, all types of games for adults and children, great entertainment and other activities.

 

The event is held every year at the McNab City Park, three miles north of Fulton on Arkansas Highway 355. On Saturday, April 24, at noon the festival parade will kick off with state and county officials, antique cars and trucks, Hempstead County Fair queens, church floats, personal vehicles, four-wheelers, motorcycless, and horse riders.

 

An auction will begin at 2 p.m., according to McNab Mayor James Conway. The Wal-Mart $100 drawing will be held at 3 p.m. There will also be a $50 Fish Catch.

Festival t-shirts will be on sale in every size.

 

Some activities and games include, Astro Jump, children's rides, Castle Jump, Gladiator Jousting Slides, Balloon Busting, Sack Races, Fish Dipping, Dominoes, Cards, Bingo, Horseshoe Toss, Three-Point Basketball, the 3-K Health Walk and more.

 

Entertainment includes Martial Arts, Plax, Dusty Rose Country Band, Hope School Band, Mineral Springs Band, Hempstead County Melody Boys, Guitarist Gene Cagle, Knighton Singers, Total Praise Ensemble, the Southwest Arts Council, DJ Jimmy Williams, the Anonymous Blues Singers and more groups.

On Sunday, an outdoor church service will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Security will be present for the entire event.
