One , two, three, Relay! Hempstead County has been in full swing preparing for the biggest relay of the year. The annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life begins at 6 p.m. Friday on the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.
The activity line up begins from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. for survivor sign up and activities for survivors. From 6p.m – 7p.m., the Survivor Walk kick off will take place. Bring a crazy hat to wear for the Crazy Hat Lap between 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Spirit Stick Lap will be all teams from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. Luminaries will be lit from 9p.m. - 10p.m. The Blacklight Ministries Show takes place from 10 p.m - midnight. The three-legged race is for late-nighters, as well, from 1 a.m. - 2 a.m. Stay up later for the movie from 2 a.m. - 4 a.m. Breakfast is then served for the all-nighters from 5 a.m. - 7 a.m, with clean up and closing.
Fun games and activities will be held for all ages throughout the event.
