MINERAL SPRINGS – The Spring Hill Bears and Lady Bears tracksters competed at the 2A state track meet in Mineral Springs on Friday April 30. For boys competition: Tyler Haynie placed sixth in the discus, Ladd Owens competed in the 3200 mile run finishing with a time of 11:39.86. Hendrix Routon finished second place overall in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.39 and the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.75. Routon also received All-State honors for the 2010 track season.
For girls competition, Suzie Gresham finished fifth place in the 400 meter run with a time of 1:05.71 and competed in the triple jump.
The Bears and Lady Bears track teams are coached by Russell Carter and Laura Kidd.
