SPRING HILL - The Spring Hill Junior High Bears and Lady Bears basketball teams split victories at home against Prescott Cubs and Lady Cubs Monday night for hoop action. The Lady Bears keep their winning streak rolling defeating the Lady Cubs 42-15 improving their overall record to 21-0. The Bears would have a tough battle falling to the Cubs, 43-18 with a 10-7 overall record.

In seventh grade girls action, the Lady Bears defeated Prescott 22-11. In the game, Kamber Neely led scoring with eight points, and Emily Ellis had six points.

In seventh grad boys action, the Bears would fall to Prescott, 29-16. In the game, Garrett May and Dalton Kidd each scored five points a piece.

In junior girls action, the Lady Bears opened up with a 20-4 lead over the Lady Cubs. In the second, the Lady Bears increased their lead to 36-8 at halftime over the Lady Cubs. In the third and fourth quarters, the Lady Bears continued to keep their lead over the Lady Cubs for the victory.

In the game, Lauren Kidd led the Lady Bears scoring in double-figures with 21 points and Madison Kidd had nine points.

In junior boys action, the Bears would fall behind early to the cubs in the first quarter, 25-5. In the second quarter the Cubs would take a 39-9 lead to end the first half over the Bears.

In the third quarter, the Bears kept fighting with the Cubs but Prescott would take a 43-13 lead at the close of the third. In the fourth, the Bears out-scored the Cubs, but Prescott had the edge for the night to take the victory.

In the game, Carter Yocom led the Bears in scoring with eight points and Brandon Marks led the Cubs scoring in double-figures with 14 points.
