FFa Rodeo kicked off Thursday results in

The 11^th Spring Hill FFA Rodeo kicked off Thursday-Saturday March 11-13 at the Hope Fair Park Coliseum. Several students participated with a lot of support and crowd attendance. The money raised from the rodeo went to the FFA for banquet held at the end of the school year and other group functions such as contests and camps. All items from the concession stand sold out. The awards from the rodeo will be presented at the end of the year banquet in May. The rodeo started Thursday night with the ranch rodeo, then Friday and Saturday begin the students competition of 13 events. The All-Around Cowboy winner was Kade Ford and the All-Around Cowgirl was Candace Kidd.

In other events: Steer Riding - 1^st place Haley Hadaway, and 2^nd place- Tyler Hammonds; Calf Haltering - 1^st place Keaton Fincher and 2^nd place Jesse Kitchens; Ribbon Roping - 1^st place Walker Flowers and Kelby Powell and 2^nd place Kade Ford and Cody Aaron.

Pole Bending: Pee Wee division, 1^st place Jesse Smith, 2^nd place Colt Smith; Junior division - 1^st place Dusty Ghormley and 2nd place Sherman Glass; Senior division - 1^st place Kaylee Fincher and 2^nd place Candace Kidd.

Chute Doggin - 1^st place Channin Jameson and 2^nd place Wyatt Putman; Pig Dressing - 1^st place Cole Turner and Colton Capps, 2^nd place Cody Hampton and Adam Rogers.

Goat Tying: Junior division – 1^st place Haley Hadaway, 2^nd place Kaylie Comer; Senior division – Kaylee Fincher, and 2^nd place – Candace Kidd.

Wild Steer Catch and Release - 1^st Cole Turner, Kade Ford, and Colton Capps; 2^nd place – Jessy Honeyman, Adam Rogers, Clint Tewalt; Barrel Pick-Up - 1^st Kade Ford, Dakota Vickers and 2^nd place – Walker Flowers, Kelby Powell;

Mutton Buston - (Friday night) 1^st place Landon Cross, and (Saturday night) 1^st place Brooklyn Reed.

Hide Ride - 1^st place Kade Ford and Wyatt Putman, 2^nd place – Candace Kidd and Edward Hurt.

Barrel Racing: Pee Wee division - 1^st place Jesse Vickers, and 2^nd place Colt Smith; Junior division - 1^st place Haley Hadaway, and 2^nd place Sherman Glass; Senior division - 1^st place Kaylee Fincher, Keaton Fincher.

Break Away Roping - 1^st place Candace Kidd, and 2^nd place Keaton Fincher; Bull Riding - 1^st place Wyatt Putman and 2^nd place Matt Cook.
