FORT SMITH - Julia Garcia competed at the Junior Pro-Am Fort Smith Classic on June 16. This was a first for the Fort Smith Classic. Some of the top ten players from Arkansas and surrounding States were teamed up with pros at Eagle Crest Golf Course in Alma. Ten teams of four junior players were paired with a professional golfer on the PGA's national tour.
Garcia played on pro golfer Nick Beach's team. They went home with the championship bowls. Julia teammates were from Fort Smith, Fayetteville and Vilonia. They shot 13 under par, 58.
