LAKESIDE - The Hope Bobcats and Ladycats basketball teams returned back to hoop action on the road Friday night January for their first 5A Southwest Conference road game against the Lakeside Rams and Lady Rams but fell short in victories. The Ladycats were defeated by the Lady Rams, 43-35 and the Bobcats would fall to the Rams, 53-37.

In senior girls action for the Ladycats, Kandyce Brown led scoring in double-figures with 12 points, Jaleisa Ballance and Makkia Fellows each scored seven points a piece.

The Bobcats and Ladycats will look for their first conference win this season as they travel on the road tonight to face the  Camden-Fairview Cardinals and Lady Cardinals.
