SOUTH SIDE BEE BRANCH – The Blevins Hornets dominated the Southside Bee Branch Hornets 61-39 in the opening round of the class 1A regionals 3 basketball action last week held at South Side Bee Branch.
In regional game action against host team South Side Bee Branch, Blevins got started off quick to a 13-8 lead in the first quarter. In the second, Blevins out-scored South Side Bee Branch 19-11, leading at halftime, 32-19. In the second, Blevins increased their lead against South Side Bee Branch to a 46-27 advantage at the end of the third. In the final quarter, Blevins finished off South Side Bee Branch for the victory.
In the game, Jalen Turner led Blevins scoring in double-figures with a huge 27 points, Chris Pine scored nine points, Quintin Fields eight points, Vance Williamson and JaCody Horton each with six points a piece. Javer Jordan scored three points and Shantel Staggers added two points.
