Ready to get back in the flow of volleyball competition, the Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints took the court Monday July 9 to work on skills, techniques and team playing material during their annual summer camp hosted at the school.

Ready to get back in the flow of volleyball competition, the Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints took the court Monday July 9 to work on skills, techniques and team playing material during their annual summer camp hosted at the school. 

For the sixth consecutive year, veteran collegiate volleyball head coach Steven Gream return to instruct camp for GMCS. Gream, currently head coach at Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kansas has been the Lady Saints camp director and instructor for several summers.

Gream continues to make numerous visits to volleyball camps around the nation each summer that leads right into the start of fall season. 

He enjoys coming back and helping the kids excel to be productive volleyball players on the varsity and junior varsity levels.

The Lady Saints worked on a broad number of skill level material of techniques each day of camp July 9-11 orchestrated by coach Gream to teach several important principals of volleyball. 

Coach Gream has had a lot of success coaching at Cowley College. According to Cowley College sports information department, he led the Cowley volleyball team to a KJCCC conference co-championship and highly national ranking in NJCAA. Cowley has captured the District N title and won 40 matches for the first time since the 1979 season that led to a fifth place national finish while Gream has been head coach.

GMCS volleyball head coach Gabby Clark looks forward to another season to lead the Lady Saints teams through a year of competition this upcoming fall. Clark has seen progress through the teaching tactics from the Lady Saints participation in volleyball camp instructed by Gream that provides a broad level of information and skills to enhance their abilities to perform productively. 

In their previous seasons, the Lady Saints been successful and produced wins home and on the road to finish strong at district and the state tournament.

Coach Clark looks forward to the competition this upcoming year and pleased by the participation of the Lady Saints work ethic that this developmental and skills camp brings to the GMCS volleyball program.

The Lady Saints will attend camp in Little Rock later this month hosted UALR.
