Once again part of Southwest Arkansas youth league ball players are returning to the big stage on the diamond in Conway to compete against several talented teams from all around the state in the 2018 USSSA Arkansas all-star state baseball championships. The tournament is scheduled June 22-24.

Once again part of Southwest Arkansas youth league ball players are returning to the big stage on the diamond in Conway to compete against several talented teams from all around the state in the 2018 USSSA Arkansas all-star state baseball championships. The tournament is scheduled June 22-24.

League all-star teams from the Hope Baseball Softball Association will compete in the 12U, 10U and 8U all-star state tournament divisions to represent Hope and Southwest Arkansas. 

This year, there will be five teams from Southwest Arkansas to represent in the 2018 Arkansas All-Star State Baseball Championships in Conway.

Thus far, one team will compete in the 12U division state tournament representing as the SWA All-Stars of Hope under head coach Wes Pierce and staff. The 12U division consist of 16 teams of all-stars from Alma, Cabot, Dewitt, Fayetteville Purple Dawgs, Greenbrier, Greenwood, Lake Hamilton, Monticello, Nashville, Ozark, Sheridan, Star City, Van Buren, Warren and Wynne.

In the 10U division, there will be two SWA All-Star teams representing to compete from Hope led by head coaches Tal Rhodes and Jordan Drake and their staff. The 10U division state tournament features 20 all-star teams from Alma, Conway, Dewitt, Fayetteville, Greenbrier, Greenwood, Hampton, Lake Hamilton, Monticello, Ozark, Nashville, Sheridan, Star City, Van Buren, Vilonia, Warren, Wynne and Maumelle.

For the 8U division, SWA will have two all-star teams representing as well with head coaches Paul Wilson and Cody Wall and staff guiding their squads in tourney play. The 8U state tourney features 27 all-star teams to compete with the most teams of competition of all divisions in the tournament. Teams competing represent Alma, Bryant, Cabot, Conway, Dewitt, Fayetteville, Greenwood, Hampton, Heber Springs, Little Rock, Lake Hamilton, Maumelle, Mt. Ida, Nashville, Sheridan, Star City, Van Buren, Warren, Farmington, Monticello and Wynne.

As normal prior to competing in the state baseball championships in Conway, HBSA league all-star teams have prepared for battle to compete amongst the state's best youth baseball teams to make a strong run during tournament competition. Throughout the heated temperatures in the previously weeks, they've practice on a variety of skills to help them be productive as a team against expected tough competition in Conway.

Last year, production showcased successful finishes for wins throughout the tournament for a good representation from Southwest Arkansas with the same focus and emphasis for the 2018 state tourney this weekend.
