The Hope Ladycats concluded their regular season schedule in conference play falling on the road to Hot Springs Lakeside Lady Rams 17-9 in seven competitive innings Thursday evening.

The Hope Ladycats concluded their regular season schedule in conference play falling on the road to Hot Springs Lakeside Lady Rams 17-9 in seven competitive innings Thursday evening.

Lakeside scored on a single by Lyca Steelman in the first inning, a home run by Emery Ashcraft in the first inning, and a single by Steelman in the second inning. 

Hope Ladycats collected nine hits and Lakeside had 14 in the high-scoring affair.

Hope tallied four runs in the sixth inning with batters contributing to the big inning featured Natalie Phillips, Andria Curtis, and Zymesha Lee, who each had RBI's driving in key runs. 

Lakeside scored seven runs in the sixth inning for a big inning with singles.

Lakeside's Erika Bettinger earned the victory in the pitcher's circle surrendering nine runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out four batters. 

For the Ladycats, Phillips pitched and allowed 14 hits and 17 runs over six innings, striking out four batters and threw 76 strikes.

Curtis and Lee each racked up multiple hits for Hope. Curtis led Hope with three hits in three at bats. Lee collected two hits, Phillips, Morgan Gray, Emily Miller and Mayra Garcia each had a hit apiece.

Phillips and Gray each had three RBI's apiece and Lee had one RBI.

For base running, Curtis led the way with two stolen bases and Lee with one base stolen. 

On Monday April 30, the Ladycats will face Camden-Fairview in the 5A South Conference Softball Tournament hosted at Hope Fair Park. The Ladycats are scheduled to play at 6:30 p.m. at Ladycat Stadium in hopes to qualify for the state tournament.
