The Hope Ladycats concluded their conference series match-up Tuesday evening on the road against Camden-Fairview Lady Cardinals for softball competition.

The Hope Ladycats concluded their conference series match-up Tuesday evening on the road against Camden-Fairview Lady Cardinals for softball competition.

In a competitive effort on the diamond, the Ladycats would fall in defeat to Camden-Fairview 14-0 as the Lady Cardinals sweep the series meeting.

Camden Fairview scored on a couple of groundouts in the first inning that led to a 2-0 lead over the Ladycats. 

The Lady Cardinals increased their lead in the second inning with four runs scored, then seven in the third inning and one in the fourth inning. 

The Ladycats had tough efforts to put runs on the board to contain defensively giving up 14 runs to Camden-Fairview. Camden Fairview totaled 10 hits in the game.

One bright spot for the Ladycats offense was a single by Natalie Phillips in the first inning. Also Zymesha Lee, Tristen Jones and Ally Fincher each collected one hit to lead the Ladycats offense. Lee also had the lone stolen base for Hope. 

Lexi Betts earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Camden-Fairview. Bettis allowed four hits, no runs over five innings, striking out seven batters.

Ladycats' Kaley Green pitched, surrendering 14 runs on 10 hits, walking two batters and threw 40 strikes over four innings.

The Ladycats concluded their regular season schedule on Thursday on the road against Hot Springs Lakeside Lady Rams.

Next week, the Ladycats will be the host team for the 5A South Conference Softball Tournament in Hope. The Ladycats are scheduled to face No. 3 seed Camden-Fairview on Monday April 30 at 6:30 p.m., Ladycat Stadium, Fair Park.

The conference softball tournament is scheduled April 30-May 2.
