Blevins Lady Hornets track star Jasmine Batson racked up 15 points for representation in high school girls meet competition in Gurdon at the 2018 Sr. Go-Devil Relays hosted at Go-Devil Stadium.

Batson placed second in the long jump event and finished at 16-04.50. Batson also placed seventh in the triple jump at 29-08 and placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles to finish with a time of 18.80. 

Next week, Blevins track and field teams will compete at the district meet hosted at Magnet Cove.

For last year's district meet, Batson captured her third straight high point award of the 2017 season. She won the long jump, 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles and finished second place in the triple jump, high jump and 200 meter dash as the 2A-7 West District Girls High Point champ with 54 points. Batson qualified to compete in all six events at the 2017 Class 2A state meet.
