Reigning 2-time AACS state champion Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints kept their unbeaten streak of victories progressing on Tuesday evening to prevail convincingly against Christian Ministries Academy 16-0 on their home field in softball competition.

Reigning 2-time AACS state champion Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints kept their unbeaten streak of victories progressing on Tuesday evening to prevail convincingly against Christian Ministries Academy 16-0 on their home field in softball competition.

The Lady Saints sparked to an early 10-run lead in the first inning, then scored four runs in the second and two runs in the third inning for the shutout victory. The Lady Saints collected 16 runs on six hits and defensively held CMA scoreless with only two hits on the day.

The Lady Saints will have more home action to look forward to next week as they're scheduled to host school rivals' Columbia and Southwest Christian Academy. The Lady Saints have tune-up play for preparation into next weeks battle as they're hosting a midseason jamboree at home on Thursday and Friday of this week.

GMCS Lady Saints will have one more scheduled away game on April 24 at CMA in a return match-up before entering state tourney play toward the end of April into May. The Lady Saints final two home games are scheduled against Cornerstone and Providence.
