The hometown Hope Bobcats soccer team posted an impressive home victory over Class 6A Arkansas High Razorbacks 3-1 last Thursday night on the Bank of the Ozarks Field at Hammons Stadium.

The hometown Hope Bobcats soccer team posted an impressive home victory over Class 6A Arkansas High Razorbacks 3-1 last Thursday night on the Bank of the Ozarks Field at Hammons Stadium. This was the first of their two game series play in 5A/6A Conference soccer competition with the Bobcats victorious in first meeting. 

Leading the way offensively for the Cats were Christian Martinez scored two goals and Chris Torres scoring a goal to collect Hope's three total goal scored against the Razorbacks. Daniel Hernandez and Aryell Felipe each had assists for the Cats.

Defensively, the Bobcats held the Razorbacks to one goal scored for the entire 80 minutes of play. The Razorbacks were scoreless for the first half of play with Hope taking the 2-0 lead in the first 40 minutes of action. The Razorbacks posted their lone goal off a indirect kick in the final two minutes of play to avoid the shutout. 

Hope goalie Ezequel Monreal had multiple saves against the Razorbacks in victory.

Tonight, the Bobcats return home for series finale play hosting Class 6A Lake Hamilton looking to sweep the season meetings match-up at Hammons Stadium.

This Thursday evening, the Bobcats will host Hot Springs Lakeside for senior night at Hammons Stadium in conference play on the Bank of the Ozarks Field.
