The Spring Hill Lady Bears have gotten off to another blazing start to begin softball season 2018 with two series sweeps against Dierks and Mineral Springs in home competition to post an 4-0 overall record thus far.

The Spring Hill Lady Bears have gotten off to another blazing start to begin softball season 2018 with two series sweeps against Dierks and Mineral Springs in home competition to post an 4-0 overall record thus far.

On Monday night, the Lady Bears defeated Mineral Springs 19-4 and 15-0 for their series sweep hosting the Lady Hornets on the diamond.

This week, the Lady Bears will enter into tourney play as the host team in their annual 2018 Debra McMaster Memorial Scholarship Softball Tournament schedule March 15-17.

  

LADY BEARS 2, DIERKS 0

The Spring Hill Lady Bears opened their season on the diamond with a thrilling shutout victory over Dierks 2-0 in the first of their two game series.

Cheyenne Bobo brought the heat from the pitcher's circle and allowed no runs, struck out two batters and threw 44 strikes in five innings of action.

Spring Hill got things moving in the first inning off Maegan Ward driving in one run off a double for an RBI.

The Lady Bears Varsity racked up six hits on the day. Ward and Brooklyn Reed each managed multiple hits. Reed and Ward all had two hits to lead the Lady Bears. Jessi Park and Paige Runion each had a hit apiece. Runion also scored both runs for the Lady Bears. Dierks would out hit the Lady Bears with seven total on the day with two errors, but Spring Hill won the defensive battle allowing no runs or committing no errors for an errorless performance.

LADY BEARS 6, DIERKS 1

Spring Hill Lady Bears matched up on again on the diamond with Dierks for their second game to complete their series. The Lady Bears prevailed over Dierks 6-1 to sweep the series meeting.

Bobo led things off from the pitcher's circle for Spring Hill and went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and walking one. Bobo threw 32 strikes to capture the win at pitcher.

Katie Rivera, Runion, Reed, Park, Ward, and Jada Quillin each collected one hit to lead Spring Hill in victory. Rivera posted the highlight hit of the game blasting an home run, for an run and two RBI's. Lakin Bobo and Quillin each had an RBI apiece. Cheyenne Bobo had one stolen base. The Lady Bears collected six runs on six hits and defensively allowed Dierks one run on four hits with an error.
