Defending Class 2A State Baseball Champions Spring Hill Bears returned home for competitive match-ups on their own diamond territory in two double-headers splitting wins against Dierks Outlaws and swept series battles against Mineral Springs Hornets in recent play.

Defending Class 2A State Baseball Champions Spring Hill Bears returned home for competitive match-ups on their own diamond territory in two double-headers splitting wins against Dierks Outlaws and swept series battles against Mineral Springs Hornets in recent play.

The Bears suffered their first season loss to Dierks in the first meeting 3-0 in seven innings. In the second game, the Bears closed out their series against the Outlaws with a convincing victory 5-2 to seek redemption from their four-game winning streak snapped.

On this past Monday, the Bears came back for baseball action with two dominating wins over Mineral Springs 19-1 and 13-0 to move to an impressive 7-1 overall start for season 2018.

The Bears will be off from action for the remainder of the week, but scheduled to return to diamond action March 26 hosting Foreman Gators for a double-header in senior high baseball action.

The Bears are rolling on a three-game winning streak.
