Hope kept it close early with a low scoring first period to trail Hot Springs 4-2 going into the second quarter. Hope provided a better scoring quarter in the second but the Jr. Lady Trojans outscored them 14-13 with Hot Springs taking a 18-15 halftime lead.

In the third, Hope added six points but the Jr. Lady Trojans dropped 13 points on the board to account for an 31-21 lead after three periods of play.

In the second half, Hope sparked for seven points scored with Hot Springs posting six points to secure victory and sweep the series meeting against Hope. For the game, Mariuna McClenton led scoring with 13 points to account for her third consecutive game posting in double-figures. Also Alexia Muldrew followed with 12 points and one trifecta from behind the arc posted in double-digits. Anntaevia Briggs added three points.

This Saturday, Hope will compete in the 5A South Jr. High District Tournament hosted at De Queen. The tournament is scheduled Feb. 10-15.
