The Blevins Lady Hornets have been rolling strong to pick up conference victories in senior high girls basketball competitions. In their previous home performance, the Lady Hornets topped the Caddo Hills Lady Indians 60-54 in conference action. Then on last Friday night, the Lady Hornets came out victorious on the road against Mt. Pine Lady Red Devils 61-45 in league play to win their third consecutive win for a three game winning-streak.
With the victories, the Lady Hornets improve to 23-7 overall, 6-2 in conference. This week, the Lady Hornets will return for their final home contest of the season Friday night hosting Abundant Life on senior night at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium. Thus far, the Lady Hornets have only one loss at home this entire season.
LADY HORNETS 60, CADDO HILLS 54
The Lady Hornets won the scoring battle in a very close and tight first quarter brawl over Caddo Hills 18-17. In the second period, the Lady Hornets got outscored 15-12 against the Lady Indians. At the break, the Lady Hornets trailed Caddo Hills, 32-30.
In the second half, the Lady Hornets came out with the intensity and outscored Caddo Hills 18-12 in the third quarter and matched the Lady Indians in fourth quarter with both teams dropping 12 points apiece, but in the end Blevins soared to the six point victory in league play. For the game, Lady Hornets' Jasmine Batson led scoring with 20 points, Bailey Hall followed with a strong 14 points, Amani Furlow dropped 13 points and Camri Kirkham added 11 points for a quadruple of double-figure scoring. Diana Samuel and Alyssa Richardson contributed one key point apiece.

Blevins Lady Hornets secured a big road victory in conference over the Mt. Pine Lady Red Devils 61-45 in their first and only meeting during regular season play. The Lady Hornets coasted to an 15-2 first quarter lead advantage, then outscored Mt. Pine 19-10 in the second quarter. At the break, the Lady Hornets led Mt. Pine 34-12 at halftime. Coming out the locker room for second half action, the Lady Hornets totaled for 27 points for third and fourth quarters combined despite the Lady Red Devils pouring 33 points on the board, Blevins went onto be victorious.
