Garrett Memorial Christian School Jr. Lady Saints provided a competitive effort of hoops play on the hardwood in home competition falling to rivals' Columbia Christian Jr. Lady Crusaders 39-17 but defeating Saline County 32-24 this past Tuesday night for junior varsity girls basketball action.

Garrett Memorial Christian School Jr. Lady Saints provided a competitive effort of hoops play on the hardwood in home competition falling to rivals' Columbia Christian Jr. Lady Crusaders 39-17 but defeating Saline County 32-24 this past Tuesday night for junior varsity girls basketball action.

With the win, the Jr. Lady Saints under head coach Rachel Foster look to regroup and return back strong for junior varsity hoops to be productive in the state tournament scheduled Feb. 2-3 in Little Rock. The Jr. Lady Saints will face Community Christian in first round play.

In a thrilling competitive battle at home, the GMCS Jr. Lady Saints prevailed over visiting Saline County 32-24. For the game, Annabeth Martin led scoring with six points, Claire Fry and Raley Sullivan each scored five points apiece, Katie Beth Alexander and Kennedy Hamilton each scored four points apiece, Sophy Tyson finished with three points and Libby Tyson contributed two points in victory.
