The Blevins Hornets seek revenge and redemption Tuesday night at home against Foreman 70-64 from a tough road loss to the Gators in their first meeting of their two game series.

The Hornets split their series meeting to take the conference victory over the Gators in victory at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium.

The win kept the Hornets unbeaten at home on the "Paul Noesser Court" at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium and start conference play 1-0 for an 17-5 overall record.

For Friday night, the Hornets travel to Mineral Springs to conclude their series in hopes to sweep the season meetings.

First Meeting

HORNETS 62, FOREMAN 64

Blevins Hornets had the early lead advantage and finish first period action leading Foreman 15-13. In the second, the Gators outscored Blevins 22-14. At halftime, Blevins trailed Foreman 35-29. In the second half, Blevins outscored Foreman 33-29 for total points in third and fourth quarters combined, but the Gators prevailed over the Hornets for the two point victory, 64-62. For the game, Hornets' Zane Kirkham led scoring for another monster scoring performance with 29 points and Deandre Burton exploded for 23 points for double-figures. Cameron Lane added six points, Corta Young and Monterian Todd each had two points apiece.

Second Meeting

HORNETS 70, FOREMAN 64

In their series finale for the second meeting of the season, the Blevins Hornets secured victory on their home court to defeat Foreman 70-64 in convincingly fashion. The first period ended with an 15-15 knotted by both squads. In the second, the Hornets regrouped and outscored Foreman 21-9. At the break, Blevins had the commanding lead over the Gators 36-24. In the second half, the Hornets dropped 34 points on the scoreboard, but the Gators surged to 40 points scored for third and fourth quarters combined, with a 30 point scoring period in the final quarter. For the game, Hornets' Burton led scoring with a big 24 points, Kirkham added 15 points and Lane had 13 points for double-figures. Young scored eight points, Gomez followed with six point and Todd chipped in four points.
