To complete the first half of the 2017-18 basketball season, the Saints and Lady Saints basketball teams produced wins over Cornerstone for a three game sweep on the road. The Saints and Lady Saints split victories against Providence in varsity play.

The Lady Saints topped Providence 37-33 and the Saints came away victorious in an high scoring affair over Providence 76-71 in varsity boys competition.

The Jr. Saints competed hard in their match-up falling short to Providence 37-22 in junior varsity boys hoops.

To wrap up their first half schedule of hoops on last Thursday night, the Saints and Jr. Saints came up short of victory against Gospel Light in Hot Springs for road competition for varsity and junior varsity boys action. Then, in jamboree competition hosted at Columbia Christian in Magnolia, the Saints and Lady Saints competed in varsity hoops. The Lady Saints went 4-1 in victories and the Saints came up short of all games during competition.

GMCS hoops teams will be off from hoop action for the Christmas holiday break and set to return to the hardwood in January 2018 to host West Side at home for their first game of the season half of the 2017-18 basketball season.
