Yerger Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team continue to make noise on the hardwood to secure their third consecutive road victory on Monday night to defeat Arkadelphia, 29-11 at the Arkadelphia High School Gymnasium.

Yerger Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team continue to make noise on the hardwood to secure their third consecutive road victory on Monday night to defeat Arkadelphia, 29-11 at the Arkadelphia High School Gymnasium.

YMS jumped out to an early lead to outscore Arkadelphia with Hope finishing first quarter action having an 10 point advantage, 12-2. In the second quarter, YMS showcased more defensive presence and held Arkadelphia scoreless with Hope adding four points to the scoreboard. At the break, YMS led Arkadelphia 16-2.

In the second half, YMS out scored Arkadelphia 13-9 for both third and fourth quarter scoring combine that resulted Hope taking an 18 point road victory.

For the game, Aniya Trotter and A. Muldrew led scoring with 10 points apiece for double-figures. Lakhen Stuart scored five points and Da'sheuna Purifoy added four points in the victory.

Head coach Lynette Clemons with her YMS eighth grade girls basketball team will return to more junior high hoops January 8, 2018 at home hosting Camden-Fairview at Jones Field House Gymnasium.
