The Spring Hill Jr. Lady Bears tipped off an the first of a three game home stanza Tuesday night defeating Foreman Jr. Lady Gators 35-13 in junior high girls basketball action at Spring Hill Gymnasium.

The Spring Hill Jr. Lady Bears tipped off an the first of a three game home stanza Tuesday night defeating Foreman Jr. Lady Gators 35-13 in junior high girls basketball action at Spring Hill Gymnasium.

The Jr. Lady Bears sparked off to an impressive first quarter advantage and held Foreman scoreless with Spring Hill finishing opening period play leading the Jr. Lady Gators 20-0. In the second quarter, the Jr. Lady Bears and Foreman each accounted seven points apiece scored in the period, but Spring Hill held the scoring advantage at the break, 27-7 at halftime. In the second half, the Jr. Lady Bears finished off Foreman with Spring Hill outscoring the Jr. Lady Gators 8-6. As a result, the Jr. Lady Bears rolled to an 22 point victory.

For the game, Jr. Lady Bears' Brooklyn Reed led scoring with nine points and Darcie Chambless finished with eight points for top scorers.

Next week, the Jr. Lady Bears return to hoops in tournament play at Genoa scheduled Dec. 11-16.
