The Saints and the Falcons kept their battle close and intense early, but Faulkner County pulled away in the second half for victory over GMCS 60-48.

In the first quarter action, the Saints and Falcons sparked even for team scoring for an 11-11 knot after the conclusion in opening period play.

In the second, the Saints and Falcons tied twice throughout the period 12-12 at the 6:26 and 14-14 at the 6:10 marks. The Falcons went on a scoring spree and regain the lead maintained an 10 point lead down to the 1:30 mark 29-19. The Saints would score their final basket of the half under a minute with 29 seconds, but the Falcons made a pair of free-throws to under 10 seconds to extend their lead for double-digits. At the break, the Saints trailed Faulkner County 31-21.

In the second half, the Saints posted a productive scoring period in the third to drop 11 points on the scoreboard, but the Falcons poured 17 points in the basket. After three quarters of action, the Saints trailed Faulkner County 48-32.

In the fourth, the Saints posted their biggest scoring period of the game with 16 points, but the Falcons nailed 12 points and secured the road win over GMCS.

For the game, Saints' Ty Watkins led scoring with 12 points, Jordan Keener and Colby Hurt each had 11 points apiece for a trio of double-figures. Cole Clements chipped in six points for the game.

The Saints look to bounce back strong following the Thanksgiving holiday break and set to return for more home basketball competition hosting Victory Christian Academy.
