The Blevins Hornets continue their impressive play on the hardwood at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium with another huge victory hosting Trinity Christian Warriors 58-46 earlier this week for senior high boys basketball action.

The Blevins Hornets continue their impressive play on the hardwood at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium with another huge victory hosting Trinity Christian Warriors 58-46 earlier this week for senior high boys basketball action.

The Hornet had a tough battle early, but came away victorious to remain unbeaten at home on the "Paul Noesser Court" at the IGB Gymnasium in Blevins. The Hornets took a 11-9 first quarter lead over Trinity Christian going into the second quarter.

In the second, the Hornets dropped 17 points on the scoreboard with the Warriors following up for 13 points scored. At the break, Blevins led Trinity Christian 28-22 for a six point advantage at halftime.

In the third, the Hornets exploded for another big 17 point scoring quarter, then added 13 in the fourth to total 30 points for second half points. Trinity Christian was held to eight points scored in the third, but outscored the Hornets 15-13 in the fourth.

For the game, Hornets' Cameron Lane led scoring with a productive 17 points, Deandre Burton finished with 14 points and big man Zane Kirkham scored 10 points for a trio of double-figures. Monterian Todd contributed eight points, Ernan Gomez scored five points and Corta Young chipped in one key point in the victory.

The win improved the Hornets to 7-2 overall.

The Hornets finish the week with another home battle on tonight hosting Dierks, then Friday night head on the road to face their rivals' Bradley Bears to close out their season series meeting in Bradley.
