For the final road game of the 2017 football season, the hometown Hope Bobcats looked to upset the White Hall Bulldogs in 5A South Conference play for week 9 of high school gridiron competition. The Cats gave another valuable effort, but the Bulldogs rolled away victorious 51-14.

White Hall held a 44-6 halftime advantage, with their final touchdown score coming in the third quarter. The Cats recorded their lone end zone trip in the second half in the fourth quarter.

The Cats fall to 0-6 in conference, 0-9 overall as the Bulldogs improve to 3-3 in conf., 6-3 overall. The Bulldogs win keeps them alive for postseason play making seven trips to the end zone in victory against the visiting Bobcats.

Next Friday, the Bobcats look to end their season on a high note at home hosting their longtime school rivals' Magnolia and avoid a two year losing skid for their first win since 2015 on senior night at Hammons Stadium.
