It was a tough night for the Blevins Jr. Hornets in their first game of the 2017-18 basketball season last Thursday night falling to the Bradley Jr. Bears 44-19 at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium.

It was a tough night for the Blevins Jr. Hornets in their first game of the 2017-18 basketball season last Thursday night falling to the Bradley Jr. Bears 44-19 at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium.

The Hornets fought and competed hard, but the Jr. Bears came away victorious. Blevins trailed 24-7 at halftime, but posted 17 points in the second half. Bradley accounted for 20 points in the second half to roll onto a 25 point win.

For the game, Jr. Hornets' Robert Carrigan led scoring with seven points, David Franks added five points, Amani Glenn chipped in three points, Trace Hall and Tristen Johnson each contributed two points apiece.

This Thursday night Oct. 26, the Jr. Hornets travel with the senior boys and girls squads to face Nevada for junior high hoops.
