The Hope Ladycats golf team made their return trip to compete at the 2017 Class 5A state girls golf championships hosted at the Paragould Country Club.

The Hope Ladycats golf team made their return trip to compete at the 2017 Class 5A state girls golf championships hosted at the Paragould Country Club. Around 22 schools had representatives to compete in team and individual competition for an 18-hole match. The Ladycats finished with a team total score of 332.

Natalie Phillips led the Ladycats shooting a 74 and finished fifth for the best overall score. Teammates, Andria Curtis shot 121, Allysa "Ally" Fincher had a 137 and Emily Zimmer finished at 144. Capturing the Class 5A state title was Hot Spring Lakeside Lady Rams shooting a team winning score of 234 and runner-ups for second was Paragould at 245.

Maumelle shot 354, Little Rock Christian 257, Wynne 285, Greenbrier 291, Greene County Tech 308, White Hall 318, P.A. 327 and Alma 374. Forrest City's Elizabeth Moon finished with the overall top score shooting 62 as medalist at the Class 5A state championships for individual scores.

Batesville, Beebe, Camden-Fairview, De Queen, Farmington, Harrison, Mills, Magnolia, Vilonia and Blytheville all had representatives to compete for individual competition. The Ladycats golf team finished third overall at the 5A South Conference tournament in Camden-Fairview to qualify for back to back consecutive consecutive seasons to compete at state.
