The Hope Bobcats and Ladycats golfers returned to the golf course for tourney competition Wednesday Sept. 20 to compete in the 5A South Conference tournament for season 2017 hosted at the Camden Country Club.

The Hope Bobcats and Ladycats golfers returned to the golf course for tourney competition Wednesday Sept. 20 to compete in the 5A South Conference tournament for season 2017 hosted at the Camden Country Club.

The Ladycats golf team finished third overall with a team score of 362. Natalie Phillips led the Ladycats with a 93 to earn All-Conference honors. Andria Curtis shot 123, Allysa Fincher had a 146 and Emily Zimmer shot 147. Lakeside Lady Rams placed first overall with a team winning score of 252 and White Hall finished second at 341. Lakeside's Gracen Blont was medalist and finished with the overall top score in girls competition shooting a 73. Magnolia's Meghan Lindsey finished second with a 83, Lakeside's Abby Huett was third shooting a 87 and Carly Orr shot 92 to earn All-Conference honors.

For boys competition, HHS Bobcat golfers Ben Knight shot 121 and Wolf Bower had a 139. Hot Springs Lakeside Rams finished first place with a overall winning team score of 310. White Hall Bulldogs finished second with a team score at 331, Camden-Fairview Cardinals finished third at 382 and De Queen Leopards finished fourth at 391. White Hall's Josh McNulty was medalist with the overall top boys score shooting a 72.

The Class 5A State Girls Golf Tournament is scheduled Tuesday Sept. 26 hosted at the Paragould Country Club. The Class 5A State Boys Golf Tournament will be Wednesday Oct. 4 hosted at Hot Springs Country Club.
