Spring Hill and Blevins golf teams recently competed in varsity boys and girls match competitions with Foreman on the golf course. In the their match competition at Little River Golf Course, Foreman hosted Spring Hill and Blevins in road action. In the boys match, Foreman came out victorious with a team winning score of 140. Spring Hill Bears finished second with a team score of 164 and Blevins Hornets finished third at 188. Bears ' Colby Light and Foreman's Alex Carver earned co-medalist honors for the top overall score with a 43.

Ty Clark and Ramsey Brown each had a 60, Justin Lecher 61 and Brady Whatley had 65. For Blevins, DeAndre Burton led the Hornets with a 56, Kobe Steed shot 65, Dylan Fulton had a 67, Zane Kirkham shot 66 and Daryn Peck finished with a 72. For the girls match, Lady Bears Jada Quillin was medalist with a overall top score with 51 and Jordyn Murphy shot 63. Foreman Lady Gators shot a team scored of 174, Blevins Lady Hornets finished at 209. Lady Hornets' Emily Moreno finished at 67, Kasey Jester had a 70- and Kansas Parker shot 72.

On Thursday Sept. 7, Blevins and Spring Hill golfers competed in match competition at the Hope Country Club. In varsity boys match competition, Bears finished with a team score of 151 and Blevins at 181. Bears' Light was medalist in the boys match with a top score of 39, Whatley shot 53, Brown, Lecher and Clark each shot a 59. For Blevins, Kirkham shot 59, Fulton and Steed each had 61 and Burton finishing with a 71. For varsity girls match, Quillin was medalist with the overall top score with a 48 and Whitney Lee had a 67. For Blevins, Parkers shot a 60 and Moreno had a 62.

On Monday Sept. 11, Spring Hill golfers hosted Foreman at the Hope Country Club. In varsity boys match, Foreman Gators finished with a team score at 139 and the Bears finishing second at 147. Bears' Light was medalist with a top score at 38, Lecher shot 53, Brown 56 and Whatley had a 61. For Foreman, Alex Carver led the Gators with a 43, Cord Turner shot 47, Sam Gamble had a 49, Issac Cover 52, Trevor Casper 56 and Zac Carver finished with a 61.

For the girls match, Lady Bears' Graycee Barham was medalist with the overall girls top score and shot a 50, teammate Quillin finished one stroke behind at 49 for Spring Hill. For Foreman, the Lady Gators shot a team score of 165. Kenzie Cowan led with Foreman and shot 54, Mattison Grant had a 55, Grace Gwin 56, Makayla Gewecke had a 60 and Callie Beasley shot 71.

Next week Sept. 18-19, the Hope Country Club will be the site for the 2A district tournament featuring Blevins, Spring Hill, Foreman along several other teams to compete in 18-holes for boys and girls varsity match competition.
