Hope Bobcats Laymon Howell was named Hempstead County Farm Bureau Players of the Week for his performance last Friday night to kickoff the 2017 football season in Nashville.

Hope Bobcats Laymon Howell was named Hempstead County Farm Bureau Players of the Week for his  performance last Friday night to kickoff the 2017 football season in Nashville.

Howell had three key pancakes (blocks) in Hope's rivalry game against the Nashville Scrappers in Nashville. Agency Manager Reed Camp presented Howell a Farm Bureau football's for being chosen the top performer in their game on Sept.1.

For the entire football season, a player from Hope and Spring Hill will be honored and named Hempstead County Farm Bureau's Player of the Week following each game for the 2017 Arkansas High School football season. This Friday night for week two of gridiron season on Sept. 8, the Hope Bobcats head on the road to face Class 4A Ashdown Panthers for football action. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
