Hope High School golfers made their return back home for varsity boys and girls golf matches Tuesday evening hosting Camden-Fairview and De Queen at the Hope Country Club.

Hope High School golfers made their return back home for varsity boys and girls golf matches Tuesday evening hosting Camden-Fairview and De Queen at the Hope Country Club. For varsity girls golf match competition, the Ladycats finished with a team score of 325. HHS golfer Natalie Phillips finished with the overall top score in the girls match and shot 82. Andria Curtis followed and shot 119, Allysa Fincher finished at 124 and Emily Zimmer rounding out at 138.

De Queen's Bailey Ward shot 106. For the boys match, Bobcats' Ben Knight shot 115 and Wolf Bower finished at 132. De Queen's Bailey Branson finished with the top overall score in boys competition and shot 76.

Jared Hickson finished at 95, Carter Rivas had 107 and Jesse Power 119 for a team total of 397 for De Queen Leopards. Camden-Fairview finished as the top boys team shooting 363. Kurt Collins led Camden-Fairview shooting 79, Tyler Wendling 90, Mason Furlow 96 Shane Collins 98 and Chad Sponer shot 106.

HHS golfers is scheduled to return to golf match competition next week following the Labor Day holiday Tuesday Sept. 5 in their second meeting to face Arkadelphia on the road at DeGray Lake Golf Course.
