The Hope ninth grade junior high cheerleaders attended NCA cheer camp 2017 and achieved several honors for their performance.

Hope ninth grade head cheer coach Jennifer Robbins was proud with the teams overall participation and performance while attending camp.

For team honors, they received The Herkie Award, which is based on leadership, values, team work and sportsmanship voted by other teams participating at camp. They also received Technical Excellence in stunts and a national championship bid according to coach Robbins.

Cheerleaders nominated as an All American were: Nadene Wallace, Ashanti Phillips, Anntaevia Briggs, Zanautica Barker, Alana Hall and Na'Tyja White.

As tradition, they learned several types of techniques, stunts, routines and pyramids. During camp, important values of team work and how to strive for excellence as a cheer team was expressed for developing principals to be successful. Cheer camp was June 12-14 and hosted at Hope High School.

The team will be showcasing their material during this upcoming Hope Jr. High football and basketball seasons.
