Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints helped coach, guide and provide skills of fundamentals to several kids entering the grades second through sixth in their annual elementary volleyball skills camp held at the GMCS school July 12-14.

The kids were broken up into teams with the Lady Saints as their coaches. At the conclusion of the three day camp, awards were given and all kids received t-shirts. Lady Saints volleyball head coach Gabby Clark was skills camp director and was very pleased how everything ran. The kids participating during the camp responded well to their Lady Saints coaches and all demonstrated skills and techniques properly that may impact their abilities of development to perform productively in the sport volleyball.

Overall, Clark was excited to see the kids enthusiasm and interest to learn and play volleyball to be future players.

"We had a great camp. The JV and varsity girls did a great job teaching the younger girls. These fundamentals taught early is key. These camps will make our teams better in the long run. I look forward to seeing these girls in seventh grade," Clark said.

She also said, they started having a little Lady Saints volleyball last year and will again this up coming fall season. There were 36 girls from second through sixth grade and had four teams. Games were played each home contest prior to JV volleyball action at Garrett Memorial Christian School.

Clark commented that she liked getting the opportunity to share the game experience and atmosphere with the older Lady Saints match-ups so maybe the Little Lady Saints will love the game as much as she does.

For the upcoming fall year 2017-18, the Little Lady Saints will be in action for designated home games scheduled for GMCS Lady Saints volleyball season.
