Hope Fair Park will be the site for several teams from all over the Natural State competing in competitive softball competition in the 2017 United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Fast-pitch State Softball Tournament.

Hope Fair Park will be the site for several teams from all over the Natural State competing in competitive softball competition in the 2017 United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Fast-pitch State Softball Tournament.

Despite the anticipated heated temperatures during day, teams are set to provide intense action on the diamond and excite numerous attendees that will witness productive softball performances this coming weekend July 8-9.

Last year the USSSA state softball tournament consisted of 11 total teams to compete in three age divisions which were 8U, 12U and 16U. Finishing first place in the 8U was Blue Storm of Bentonville with the Diamond Dazzlers from the HBSA league taking runner-ups. In the 12U division, Fire and Ice of HBSA league finished first place with Camden Crushers as runner-ups. For the older division 16U, Arkansas Reloaded of Murfreesboro went unbeaten at 4-0, Spring Hill from HBSA league players placed second at 2-2 and Prescott Parks Department was third place in tournament competition.

Games were performed on Fair Park fields at Hawthorne, Millennium and Ladycat.

This year, over 20 teams will be featured and highlighted to take action on the diamond in Hope for state softball tournament competition. Divisions feature, 6 and Under Rec./All-Stars, 8 and Under Rec./All-Stars, 10 and Under Rec./All-Stars, 12 and Under Rec./All-Stars, 14 and Under Rec./All-Stars and 16 and Under Rec./All-Stars.

Of the current all-star teams expected to participate to represent in this year's state softball tournament will consist from Blevins, Spring Hill, Hope, Prescott, Bentonville, Bryant, Fort Smith, Texarkana, Monticello, Star City, Siloam Springs and Warren.

Pool Play will be played on Saturday and conclude for tournament mode on Sunday June 9.
