Hope 12U All-Stars of the Hope Baseball Softball Association league players represented Southwest Arkansas on the diamond in the 2017 USSSA state baseball tournament hosted in Conway over the weekend June 23-25.

Hope 12U All-Stars of the Hope Baseball Softball Association league players represented Southwest Arkansas on the diamond in the 2017 USSSA state baseball tournament hosted in Conway over the weekend June 23-25.

The 12U All-Star state baseball tournament division highlighted 18 teams that consisted of Alma, North Little Rock, Clinton, Fayetteville, Greenbrier, Greenwood, Heber Springs, Lake Hamilton, Ozark, Vilonia, Wynne, Mena, Sheridan, Star City and Hot Springs.

Hope All-Stars finished 2-1 during tourney play. For pool play competition, Hope All-Stars successfully won their match-ups defeating Greenwood All-Stars 6-1 and Alma All-Stars 8-6 to head into tournament mode victorious. Hope All-Stars went the distance during tournament competition to fall short to the Vilonia All-Stars 6-5 which ended their play on the diamond at state.

Overall, Fayetteville All-Stars captured first place to win the 12U state tournament and defeated the Hot Springs All-Stars 13-0 in the championship game.
