The 2017 Southwest Arkansas Basketball Camp concluded this week with several youth campers taking time out this summer to enhance abilities and learn the important aspects how to perform productively on the hardwood hosted at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium in Blevins.

The Blevins Lady Hornets head basketball coach and camp director Mark Hall instructed sessions for campers to participate each day with help from players of his teams to work and demonstrate with the kids how to perform several skills fundamentally. The campers worked on dribbling skills full-court, how to perform right and left handed lay-ups, passing motions, proper defensive stances, shooting techniques and competing in 3-on-3 competitions.

The camp was held June 12-15 for kids in grades first through sixth. The camp had representation from Nashville, Hope, Spring Hill, Prescott, Blevins, Lake Hamilton, Nemo Vista, Mineral Springs and more surrounding areas to participate.
