Having a slim halftime deficit, the Spring Hill Lady Bears rallied back in second half play to defeat their conference rivals' Mineral Springs Lady Hornets' 53-38 for senior high Friday night hoops at Spring Hill Gymnasium.

Having a slim halftime deficit, the Spring Hill Lady Bears rallied back in second half play to defeat their conference rivals' Mineral Springs Lady Hornets' 53-38 for senior high Friday night hoops at Spring Hill Gymnasium.

The Lady Bears were led by a trio of players to post in double-figures of Katie Rivera, Christy Randle and Graycee Barham. Rivera led the Lady Bears in scoring with 14 points and Randle and Barham each had 13 points apiece.

Mineral Springs held a slim one point lead to end first quarter action 13-12. In the second, the Lady Hornets added 15 points with the Lady Bears sparking for 12 points scored. At halftime, the Lady Bears only had a four point deficit to Mineral Springs, 28-24.

In the second half, the Lady Bears came out fierce and out-scored Mineral Springs 17-5 in the third quarter for Spring Hill to regain the momentum and led the Lady Hornets 41-32 after three quarters of action.

In the fourth, the Lady Bears finished off the game by scoring 12 points in the quarter and defensively held the Lady Hornets to six points scored.

For the game, Maleigh Moore contributed six points, Maegan Ward added four points and Jessi Park contributed three points in the Lady Bears win.

Tonight, the Lady Bears will return to hoops at home hosting Parkers Chapel for senior high basketball competition before heading into the Christmas holiday break at Spring Hill Gymnasium.
