The Bears only had a two point deficit to the Hornets ending first quarter play 6-4. In the second, Mineral Springs dropped 29 points in the basket with the Bears pouring 13 points. After two periods of action, the Bears trailed Mineral Springs 35-17 at halftime.

In the second half, Mineral Springs came out to post 15 points in the third quarter to hold the Bears to six points scored with the Hornets taking a 50-25 lead over Spring Hill to end three periods of basketball action.

In the fourth, the Bears posted their highest scoring quarter of the night with 15 points scored, but the Hornets dropped 14 points in the finale period to edge off Spring Hill in victory.

For the game, Bears' Hays Martin led scoring with 13 points and hit three trey's from behind the arc and big man Will Walton added 10 points for double-figures. Drake Kidd scored five points, Josh Winfield had four points, Ross Townsend and Keymonte Rhodes each scored two points apiece and Cam Middleton chipped in a point.

For Mineral Springs, Fred Robinson led all scorers with a impressive 36 points.
