Brown Gymnasium earlier this week. Blevins would come out on top in all three games for junior high girls action and senior high boys and girls competition on the Paul Noesser Court.
The next meeting between the two close Hempstead County communities is scheduled January 6, 2017 in Spring Hill.

The Blevins Jr. Lady Hornets posted a nine point win over the Spring Hill Jr. Lady Bears to begin a three-night game stanza for junior high girls basketball action. For the game, Blevins was led by Jr. Lady Hornets' Camri Kirkham with 15 points and Bailey Hall added 11 points for double-figures. For Spring Hill, Kaylee Brooks led scoring with 10 points in double-figures.

For the first time in several seasons, the Blevins Lady Hornets defeated the Spring Hill Lady Bears in one of the most intense battles between the two close schools for senior high girls basketball action. The contest was very close the entire game, but the Lady Hornets survived to edge the Lady Bears for a big three point victory. For the game, Blevins was led in scoring by Jasmine Batson pouring a impressive 22 points, Madison Hall scored 11 points and Diana Samuels posted 10 points for a trio of double-figure scorers. For Spring Hill, a trio of players posted in double-figures with Maegan Ward leading the way with 14 points, Jessi Park nailed 12 points and Graycee Barham added 11 points.

For the nightcap showdown of a three-game stanza at the Imon G. Brown Gymnasium featured the senior high boys match-up. Blevins Hornets took command the entire game and never trailed to top the Bears for a 39 point win. Blevins maintained a 37-18 halftime advantage over the Bears. In the second half, Spring Hill posted 16 points scored, but the Hornets dropped another 37 points in the basket for third and fourth quarter total scoring for victory and remain unbeaten at home thus far into the 2016-17 basketball season. For the game, Blevins was led in scoring by Zane Kirkham with 14 points and Deandre Burton scored 12 points for a duo of double-figure scorers. For Spring Hill, Hays Martin led the Bears in scoring with 12 points and Cameron Middleton followed up with 10 points for double-digit scoring. With the win, the Hornets improved to 8-2 overall and the Bears 1-1 overall.
