Hope Ladykittens ninth grade basketball team has exploded to a impressive 3-0 overall unbeaten year of junior high hoops thus far into the 2016-17 season.

Hope Ladykittens ninth grade basketball team has exploded to a impressive 3-0 overall unbeaten year of junior high hoops thus far into the 2016-17 season.

The Ladykittens recently topped Ashdown 38-25 on the road Monday night going into the Thanksgiving holiday break. Hope posted a 20-14 halftime advantage going into the break.

Then in the second half, the Ladykittens out-scored Ashdown 18-11 which led to a Ladykittens 13 point win to remain undefeated. For the game, Lanay Wheaton led the scoring department with 15 points, Ra'Nayzia Miller followed with 11 points for double-figures. Genesis Muldrow, Mariuna McClenton and Sarah Willis each contributed four points apiece.

Following the Thanksgiving holiday break, the Ladykittens will return to the hardwood Monday night to face Hot Springs Lakeside at home with eighth grade girls action with the nightcap game featuring the ninth grade Bobkittens competing for junior high hoops at JFH Gymnasium.
