The 15th AHSCA-AOA Hall of Fame banquet was scheduled for this Friday, July 16 and former Hope high School coach Melba Hall, is one of seven inductees to be inducted into the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

FERNDALE - Hempstead County dominated the 13th annual Arkansas Youth Hunter Education Challenge on June 11 and 12 at the C.A. Vines 4-H Center in Ferndale, Arkansas. Arkansas has the nation's largest YHEC participation, including nearly 400 teens and preteens, more than 45 counties and about 120 volunteers in 2010.

FAYETTEVILLE-  The Arkansas High School Coaches Association All Star basketball week was held recently at the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, with the All Star basketball game being held at Bud Walton arena on June 24th, 2010. 

FAYETTEVILLE – The 2010 East-West Tyson/Arkansas Army National Guard AAA High School Coaches All-Star competition was held at the University of Arkansas Campus in Fayetteville during the week of June 21-25.

SPRING HILL – The Spring Hill Bears football team has high expectations for the 2010 season. The Bears are featured in the 2010 Hooten's edition and is picked to win the 7-2A conference.

TEXARKANA – The Hope Wildcats American Legion baseball 17 and under team battled the Texarkana Razorbacks Tuesday on the road in double-header action.

TEXARKANA – The Hope Wildcats American Legion baseball team competed in the Texarkana Indian American Legion tournament Friday-Sunday June 18-20 winning two of three games.

BLEVINS – Blevins High School head cheerleading coach Kim Cox was selected as an assistant coach of the west cheer staff for the Arkansas Activities Association 2010 All-Star cheerleading team.

FORT SMITH -  Julia Garcia competed at the Junior Pro-Am Fort Smith Classic on June 16. This was a first for the Fort Smith Classic.

NASHVILLE – The Hope Bobcats football team traveled to Nashville Friday, June 4, for their first summer competition in team camp action.

Hope native and Southern Arkansas University Mulerider basketball player Justin Stuart, recently competed for the USA Athletics International in Spain.

HOPE – Hope freshman Ladycat trackster Asia Wesley is the new Hope High School record holder in the high jump for junior and senior high.

MAGNOLIA – Hayden Simpson, a Magnolia native and Southern Arkansas University Mulerider pitcher who was recently selected as a first-round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs, was honored at a reception from 12-1:30 p.m.

Members of the Prescott Curley Wolves, Lady Wolves and Nevada Lady Jays baseball and softball teams received All-State honors in class 3A for the 2010 season.

HOPE – The Hope Bobcats concluded their spring football practice Friday, May 21 with a scrimmage at Hammons Stadium.

SPRING HILL – The Spring Hill Bears football team wrapped up their 2010 spring football practice last week, preparing for the upcoming season in August.

WYNNE – The Hope Ladycats continued 5A state softball tournament action, Saturday May 15 for second round action battling the Vilonia Lady Eagles.

Hope native Justin Stuart, currently a junior at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia has been selected to play for the USA Athletes International in Spain.

WYNNE – The Hope Ladycats entered the 2010 5A state softball tournament held in Wynne, on a eight game winning-streak as No. 1 seed.

MINERAL SPRINGS – The Spring Hill Bears and Lady Bears tracksters competed at the 2A state track meet in Mineral Springs on Friday April 30.
