Lake Haislip, 89, of Murfreesboro, died October 7, 2009, in Murfreesboro. He was born April 2, 1920, in Murfreesboro and was a member of Valley Grove United Methodist Church. He retired from Weyerhauser Co., and was preceded in death by his parents, Blake and Lula Haislip; wife, Earlee Haislip, and two children, Earnestine Lyons and John David Haislip.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Dunbar, of Buckner and Marilyn Sue Richard, of Crosby, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, October 10, at Valley Grove United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Burial will be at Valley Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. James Fort, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
