APPLE VALLEY, MINN. -

Judith Marie “Judy” Rateliff, 71, of Apple Valley, formerly of Hoyt Lake, Minn., as well as Hope, Waldron, Hot Springs and Danville, died on September 11, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Rateliff; her parents, Lester and Amelia “Fondie” Erikson, and her parents-in-law, Ben and Lena Crews Rateliff Hamiter and Wesley Hamiter. She was born in Virginia, Minn.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Rateliff, of Little Rock and Patrick and Keri Rateliff; grandchildren Gabriel, Madelyn, and Mitchel Rateliff, of Farmington, Minn.; her sister, Jodie Erikson (Sandy McDonald) of Rosemount, Minn.; sister-in-law Brenda (Harry) McMahen, of Mena; nieces Lee Ann McMahen, of Mt. Ida, and Megan McMahen, of DeQueen, and nephew Michael McMahen and daughter Maeli, of Ft. Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 26, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, with Dr. Debra Freeman, of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church of Little Rock, officiating. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
Immediately following the service the family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church in Hope. Because of Judy’s love for Eastern Star, the family requests memorials be made to: OES  No. 262 Biwabik Chapter, C/O Merna Pullar, 514 Coventry Road, Hoyt Lakes, Minn. 55750.
