Cherrie Lynn Thomas, 51, of Columbus, died Thursday, January 21, 2010, in a Nashville nursing home.
She was born October 22, 1958, in Washington, and was a graduate of Casemont High School in Oakland, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Thomas; her father, J.T. Thomas; grandmother, Lora Langston; and grandparents, Adell and Major Thomas.
Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Still; a granddaughter, Lakeviona Adams, of Oakland, Calif.; her mother, Marjorie Thomas, of Columbus; four sisters, Lois Hendrix, of Tollette, Wilma Lafferty (Michael), of Columbus, Carolyn Gowan (Fred), of Tracy, Calif., and Jessie Walls, of Pittsburg, Calif.; and, a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, January 29, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 30, at 11 a.m. at Tollette Church of God, 1080 Martin Luther King Dr., in Tollette. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Blevins under direction of Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
