John H. Taylor, 72, of Lewisville, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, at his home. He was born June 6, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, to Jean O. “J.O.” and Bertha Davis Taylor.
He was a retired English teacher and masters degree graduate in English education of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville; and a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and the Stamps Presbyterian Church in Stamps.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Norma Jean Bobo.
Survivors include a nephew, Rev. Jimmy Bobo, of Malvern, and a niece, Linda Reddock, of Crowville, La.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home chapel in Hope with Rev. Dana Casey and Rev. Jimmy Bobo officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope.
Family will receive friends Monday, October 19, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope.
