HOPE--Miss Myrtle Black, 91, of Hope, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born November 25, 1918, in Taskahoma, Okla., to John Washington and Levicie Emma Rowton Black.
She was a retired seamstress from Shanhouse Company and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Newt Black, Hubert Black, and Clarence Black; three sisters, Bethie Coleman, Nettie Black and Fannie Black.
Her survivors include numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, with Rev. Charles Jones officiating.
Burial will follow. Arrangements are by Brazzzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Arkansas Children Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72202.
