HOPE--Ravanell Walton, 73, of Hope, died June 8, 2009, in Hope. She was born May 1, 1936, in Springhill, La. to Marvin and Dorothy Maness Glasgow. She was a secretary for Gordon Electric and was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Walton.
Survivors include her father, Marvin Glasgow; one son, Tim Walton and wife Donna, of Hope; two daughters, Tina Butler and husband Tony, of DeKalb, Texas and Connie Walton, of Hope; four grandchildren, Lyle Butler, Amanda Jordon, Shawn Beasley, and Brigit Newsom, and four great grandchildren, Kaylee Butler, Mattie Butler, Olivia Newsom, and Madison Beasley.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home between the hours of 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, June 11, at 2 p.m. in the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home Chapel with Harley Sisson officiating.
