Mrs. Sharon Presson, 65, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born August 19, 1944, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Richard and Mary Edwards Butcher.
She was an active member in the Jehovah Witness Ministry for several years before her medical condition rendered her unable to do her service work.
Her hobbies were working in her flower beds and working on building her bird sanctuary. She loved to sit on her back porch with her family and friends and watch her birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Bloom; and one brother, Ronnie Butcher.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Jerry Don Presson, of five of the most wonderful years of her life; three sons, Michael Burnside, of Greenbrier, Mark Burnside, of Prescott, Matthew Burnside, of Conway; two daughters,Debra Williams and Sherry Williams, both of Prescott; two step-children, Michael Don Whisenhunt, of Arkadelphia, and Kimbereley Matthews and Cory, of Purcell, Okla.; one sister, Sheila Magnum, of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Casey Burnside Norman, Michaela LeAnn Burnside, Sean Tyler Glass, Alyssa Nicole Cox and Breanna Cheyenne Rosenbaum; four step-grandchildren, Spencer Joseph Matthews, Keaton Alexander Matthews, Jacob Dylan Matthews, Julie Quilbera; two great-grandchildren, Zander Burnside and Cayden Brown; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The last years of her life were brightened by her beloved pets, Shasta, Nikki, Chi-Chi, Tuffy and a stray cat named T-Kitty.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 23, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Prescott, with Calvin Lacy officiating.
Burial will follow at South Fork Cemetery in Gurdon. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott.
